Max is an Akita/Shepherd mix that we adopted from the humane society in 2006 when he was about 11 months old.  He had lived with one family until he was 8 months old and another until he was 11 months old.  He's big, energetic, and quick to learn new things.  At over 90 pounds he's the biggest of our dogs, but being the youngest, he is more agile than the rest.
